Welcome to Shards Glass Studio, where slightly dangerous magic happens
We are excited to reopen on Gabriola Island during the Gabriola Arts Council 30th Self-Guided Studio Tour, Thanksgiving Weekend, Oct 10 - 12 2026.
We create everything from mythical cast glass masks to glassware, architectural commissions and affordable nature-inspired fused glass treasures. We welcome visitors to view our spacious working studio, and view how we do our art. An interactive design activity will be offered.
Starting 2027, Fused Glass & Culinary Weekends will resume - our unique workshops where guests learn culinary tips and create their own glassware before enjoying chef-prepared meals.

Built on creativity, cuisine, connection, and community, our workshops invite everyone to discover their own creative spark.
With 30 years of expertise, we are an artist duo blending Marn’s background in architectural glass and sculpture, Susan’s decades as an educator and designer, and the skills we learned from fused glass master teachers throughout North America.
